Finally it’s a breakthrough for the football freaks; Euro 2020 is all set to begin in few hours, keeping the Covid-19 protocols in mind. After being postponed for almost 12 months, the Euro 2020 has been rescheduled this summer. No doubt, Euro 2020 is one of the biggest events in the history of world football, will be hosted by 12 countries. 24 teams are set to participate in the gala event. Interestingly, a lot of teams will be getting the advantage of home ground. This is the first time in the history of the European Championship that 12 venues across the continent have been selected to feature the event.

According to the international football news (ข่าว ฟุตบอล ต่าง ประเทศ, term in Thai), the tournament starting on Friday 11 June will be hosted in Rome. While the semi-final and final of the month-long tournament will end up on 11 July in London.
Four teams from each group will face their fate in the upcoming event. All the groups are capable enough to stand strong against each other this season of the tournament. There is still a dilemma of how the matches will be host, with full capacity or lower. London’s Wembley Stadium has proposed to book a 25% audience during the matches. On the flip side, Budapest might allow entry of full crowd and St. Petersburg with 50%. However, the UEFA will monitor the final decision to maintain the Covid protocols and safety of the guests.

Though the tournament has been rescheduled, the authority will be taking strict action in maintaining the covid protocols. The situation will be dealt with the help of WHO and the National Government. World football has seen lots of European leagues being played behind the closed door, keeping the gallery empty. Strict scrutiny will be there in all the countries hosting the game. In order to divide the mass gathering, the UEFA has sanctioned 12 venues for the first time in European history.

Group F, consisting of France, Germany, Portugal, and Hungary will be the game changer this Euro 2020. However, fans believe the England team with a bunch of new and energetic faces might rule the tournament.
